I have produced a lot of DVDs and Mountainbike Videos the past 10 years for the Mountainbike Scene in Innsbruck. But I have never gone commercial as back in the days Music licencing was truly a nightmare... So it was just for the fun of it - on a professional level, though. Since then I occasionally dropped in some Video Segments if I had the time to (for example the "Berger Alm Snowrides" or "Vertrider BM Week La Palma", see below ;)

These days the Music licensing issue has changed dramatically. Portals like
Jamendo or FM4 Soundpark connect independent filmmakers with Indy Music producers - the best of both worlds. And the new breed of DSLRs allows for video projects in 4K quality using all the expensive lenses already there!!

With those new possibilities in sight, I teamed up with Vincent Breysacher of
One-Eye-Vision.com, a talented Movie producer (and great freerider / photographer / surfer) from Munich. Our first production was for Ischgl.com in 2010. The spirit is back again, let's see what the future brings.
The video below needs it's own little space, as it stands out from the others with the story how it was made...:
I have completely filmed this clip by myself just with a tripod - curious if it was possible. Yes it was, but for the price of a intense workout. Moving camera, riding, pushing bike back up, picking up camera and so forth... I guess I made three times the heightmeters that day - but I had complete freedom of what I wanted to do and a lot of time to rethink settings and angles.

Other than that this segment may not be the most stylish or perfect ... but it is my private best practice statement to ride carefully, especially on a trail I want to preserve the best possible way for the next years. A trail I found and researched myself, and love at heart. Remember: Leave no trace and avoid brake skid, then you will enjoy your and your friends' trails for a long time!
